Russian culture is the art, food, traditions, literature, religion. Russia is a country which Alexander Pushkin and other Great Russian poets glorified in his verse. Although a rich Russian nature is varied from deepest lakes to little rivers, from the steppe to majestic mountains, which takes your breath away.

S Rostropovich is undoubtedly the most exclusive boat of our fleet on the Volga River. It was built in the Czech Republic in 1980 and completely renovated in 2011 in accordance with the highest standards of comfort and functionality. The impressive Atrium of the ship surprises passengers with luminosity and elegance upon arrival. The carefully designed and decorated cabins become the "Home, Sweet Home" for our guests during the cruise. The two on-board restaurants offer an exquisite and elaborate international cuisine with a traditional Russian touch. The cosy bars invite you to immerse yourself in their relaxing and informal atmosphere, captivating the guests with live music.

Known as the cultural capital of Russia St.Petersburg allures people from all over the world by its enigmatic mixture of purely European architecture and typically Russian history. Disclose the secrets of St. Petersburg by visiting the Peter and Paul’s Fortress where the Romanov dynasty is buried, St. Isaak’s Cathedral, Smolny Cathedral and seeing the richest art collection of the Hermitage Museum. Take a chance to go for a stroll in the kingdom of fountains, that used to be a luxurious summer residence called Peterhof.

Welcome to St. Petersburg, one of the most beautiful cities. Visiting St. Petersburg, you will receive an unforgettable travel experience. You will be impressed by its high art, diverse architecture, its extraordinary history and rich cultural traditions. During our city tour we will visit Peter and Paul Cathedral - the first church in the city built of stone and its design is unusual for a Russian Orthodox Church. You will also see Square of Decembrists where the Bronze Horseman stands and dedicated to the Decembrist revolutions which had taken place there. St. Petersburg is a home to the winter palace known as the Hermitage. The collection of the State Hermitage includes more than three million works of art and artifacts of the world culture. Among them are paintings, graphic works, sculptures and works of applied art, archaeological finds and numismatic material.

Day3
Mandrogui - Tour of the Mandrogui village, p.m. - entertainment on board>

The village of Verhniye Mandrogui is unique for its geographical position, history and nature. It was inhabited by Vepsians. They were hardworking, proud, talented and hospitable people involved in fishing, hunting and shipbuilding. The name of the village Verhniye Mandrogui means from Vepsian “upper rapids”. The village of Verhniye Mandrogui is amazing, but its main feature is unique architecture – it is a real museum of modern wooden architecture in the open air. During the war of 1941-1945 the village of Verhniye Mandrogui of 29 houses was burnt. The people settled in other villages. In the 50-ies worker’s settlement appeared in the place of the former village where builders of Podporozhye hydro-electric Power Station lived. The old basements of former constructions were used to build dwelling houses, a post office and the museum of Vodka. The village of Verhniye Mandrogui saw its revival in 1997. This revival was aimed at bringing back Russian national traditions and organizing tourist business.

Kizhi - Visit to the open-air museum of wooden architecture, p.m. - entertainment on board>

Today our ship arrives at Kizhi situated in the Republic of Karelia. The nature of Karelia is severe, but magnificent. This is a land of woods, lakes, rivers, waterfalls, granite cliffs. There are over 60 thousand lakes. The largest European lakes Ladoga and Onega, which you go through during the cruise, are among them. No wonder for centuries people have been considering both as seas. The island Kizhi first gained significance in the 14th century as a trade spot on the route between the White Sea and the merchant-dominated city of Novgorod. Some of the typical and most impressive examples of 19th-century peasant architecture were collected all over the Karelian region and installed in Kizhy. The major structure is the breathtaking Church of the Transfiguration built in 1714, with its 22 onion-domed cupolas.

Today we arrive at Goritsy, the tiny settlement in Vologda Region, in 7 kilometres from the famous Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery. From the board you can admire the Goritsy nunnery, situated in a picturesque place among forests and fields, which impresses with its beauty and organic relevance within the landscapes. The Kirillo-Belosersky monastery, considered to be one of the greatest centres of Russia`s religious life, was founded in the end of the 14th century by the member of the Russian Orthodox Church Kirill Belozersky. People believed that the monastery was blessed to work wonders.

Day6
Uglich - Uglich city tour with the visit of the Kremlin territory, Dmitry on the blood Church and Transfiguration Cathedral, p.m. - entertainment on board, gala concert>

One of the oldest towns of the Volga was founded in 937, but it gained historical notoriety only during the 16th century when the prince Dmitriy was murdered here under mysterious circumstances. Today Uglich is a pearl of the Golden Ring as it has numerous buildings of ancient architecture. The architecture of the town reflects different historical periods occurred here. You will see historically important the Church of Prince Dmitriy on Blood. It was constructed by a special order of Peter the Great on the place where Tsarevich Dmitry died. Nowadays, the church turned into a museum.

Day7
Moscow - A.m. - entertainment on board, Moscow city tour, Kremlin with the visit of 1 Cathedral>

Moscow is an impressive city in many ways. The capital of the Russian Federation is the largest city in Europe, and one of the largest metropolitan areas in the world. If St. Petersburg is Russia`s imperial crown, Moscow is its familial heart. It is a city in which one comes face to face with all that is finest and all that is most frustrating in Russia. Ancient cathedrals are being restored and opened for religious services, innovative theatres are reclaiming leadership in the arts, and traditional markets are coming back to life. Moscow is once more assuming its position as the capital and mother city of the ancient state of Russia. Moscow lays on seven hills and during Stalin`s period were build seven high-rise, or "sisters" how Muscovites call them.

Day8
Moscow - Disembarkation - Check-out till 11 a.m., transfer to the airport (on request and for extra payment)>

MM Rostopovich (also known as AmaKatarina), named after famous Russian cellist and conductor Mstislav Rostopovich, is one of the most luxurious ships on the Russian waterways which can be compared to a 5* hotel. It is a top range four - deck vessel built in 1980 in Czechoslovakia, and completely redesigned and renovated in 2009. This modern ship is equipped with high-tech navigational facilities. It has several cabin categories ranging from standard double cabins to most luxurious imperial suite. All ship cabins are outward facing with a big picture window and provide bathroom with a separate shower, individually controlled air-conditioning, mini fridge, hair dryer, safe, flat-screen TV with local and satellite channels. Most cabins have outside balconies. Extra spacious suites have a separated sitting area with a sofa and chairs The ship public areas include an expansive panorama lounge with a bar; conference hall for onboard lectures and entertainment; fitness room with solarium, hair salon, medical room with onboard doctor. There is a lift serving all decks. Wi-Fi access is available in panorama lounge.
