Russia is a country which Alexander Pushkin and other Great Russian poets glorified in his verse. Although a rich Russian nature is varied from deepest lakes to little rivers, from the steppe to majestic mountains, which takes your breath away.

S Rostropovich is undoubtedly the most exclusive boat of our fleet on the Volga River. It was built in the Czech Republic in 1980 and completely renovated in 2011 in accordance with the highest standards of comfort and functionality. The impressive Atrium of the ship surprises passengers with luminosity and elegance upon arrival. The carefully designed and decorated cabins become the "Home, Sweet Home" for our guests during the cruise. The two on-board restaurants offer an exquisite and elaborate international cuisine with a traditional Russian touch. The cosy bars invite you to immerse yourself in their relaxing and informal atmosphere, captivating the guests with live music.

Welcome to the heart of Russia, the largest city in Russia and Europe as well as one of the largest cities in the world, the place where one can enjoy diversity, the capital of Russia Moscow. Moscow is the largest economic, political and scientific center of Russia with almost 11 million inhabitants. During your stay in this fabulous city you will know the history of the city and visit many unique places of interest; the most recognizable symbol of Moscow- the Kremlin, famous Red Square and magnificent ensemble of Saint Basil`s cathedral.

UGLICH - A.m. - entertainment on board, Uglich city tour with the visit of the Kremlin territory, Dimity on the blood Church and Transfiguration Cathedral, p.m. - entertainment in the bars>

Uglich could be called a small residence of Russian princes in the 13th century. In the 16h century here was murdered the Prince Dmitry the last one of Ryurik dynasty was murdered here by nobleman Boris Godunov, who came to power after the prince`s death. This terrible event caused the beginning of well-known Time of Trouble, which ended with a new dynasty of Romanovs. We will visit the small but historically significant church of St. Dmitry-on-Blood, built in 1690 on the very place where Dmitry had been murdered.

GORITSY - A.m. - entertainment on board, arrival to Goritsy, transfer to Kirillov, visit of the Monastery of St.Cyril, p.m. - entertainment in the bars>

Welcome to the village of Goritsy, the Northwest of Russia, the place where one of the largest Orthodox monasteries is situated. This majestic monastery was built in 1397 on the White Lake by archimandrite Cyril, who was about 60 years old, and Ferapont. During the Polish-Lithuanian invasion at the beginning of the 17th century the Kirillo-Belozersky monastery was surrounded with a stone fortification wall which bared long-term siege once. New walls were built in 1653-1682. The monastery is also famous for its museum of icons, some of which are the oldest in Russia. This day you will visit the St. Cyril Monastery and the Museum of icons.

KIZHI - A.m. - entertainment on board, visit to the open-air museum of wooden architecture, p.m. - entertainment in the bars>

Having passed through 6 locks of the Volga-Baltic canal, our Motorship will transverse from south to north on one of the biggest lakes in Europe - Onega Lake, to take us to the highlight of our cruise Kizhi Island. This world-famous open air museum is under the protection of UNESCO and presents a unique architectural style of northern Russia. It comprises a remarkable array of wooden churches dated from the 9th-19th centuries, including chapels, bell towers, peasant houses, granaries, hay store-houses, windmills, and steam baths. In the center of Pogost, you will find a real masterpiece of wooden art - a 22-domed wooden Church of the Transfiguration, which had been built, according to legend, in 1714 by Master Nestor without a single nail. After he finished the construction, he threw out his axe into the water of the Onega Lake and said, "There had never been and will never be a church like that!"

MANDROGUI - Tour of the Mandrogui village, p.m. - gala concert>

The village of Verkhnie Mandrogy is situated on the shore of the picturesque Svir River which is the only river connecting Europeís largest lakes; the Ladoga and the Onega. This village is one of the most beautiful and environmentally sound places in the Leningrad region built in 1996 on the place of an ancient settlement as the original project of the Russian national village. The tour will combine active leisure and fresh air with ancient traditional Russian interiors inside the "traktir" or "izba" (tavern and house). You will also venture to a unique Vodka Museum. During the stay you can visit Remeslennaya Sloboda (an art studio) to get acquainted with the traditional Russian handicrafts of wood painting (including Matryoshka doll painting), wood cutting, weaving, pottery and lace-making. You will have a chance to take a master class in any of the craft shops. Both children and adults will enjoy this activity and will take home some memorable handmade souvenirs.

ST. PETERSBURG - St.Petersburg city tour with the visit to St.Peter and Paul fortress, Hermitage museum>

Welcome to the former capital of the country and actually the cultural capital of Russia - St. Petersburg. This magnificent city founded by the first Russian emperor Peter the Great in 1703 combines the enigmatic mixture of purely European architecture and typically Russian history. The words can`t describe all the beauty of this city, known as the Venice of the North, the beautiful palaces of the Tsars times and fascinate churches. During the visit you will admire the original citadel - Peter and Paul fortress, Catherine`s institute - Smolny Cathedral, the second largest basilica in the world - St. Isaac`s Cathedral, the world famous Winter Palace - The Hermitage.

Day8
ST.PETERSBURG - Disembarkation, Check-out till 11 a.m.,>

MM Rostopovich (also known as AmaKatarina), named after famous Russian cellist and conductor Mstislav Rostopovich, is one of the most luxurious ships on the Russian waterways which can be compared to a 5* hotel. It is a top range four - deck vessel built in 1980 in Czechoslovakia, and completely redesigned and renovated in 2009. This modern ship is equipped with high-tech navigational facilities. It has several cabin categories ranging from standard double cabins to most luxurious imperial suite. All ship cabins are outward facing with a big picture window and provide bathroom with a separate shower, individually controlled air-conditioning, mini fridge, hair dryer, safe, flat-screen TV with local and satellite channels. Most cabins have outside balconies. Extra spacious suites have a separated sitting area with a sofa and chairs The ship public areas include an expansive panorama lounge with a bar; conference hall for onboard lectures and entertainment; fitness room with solarium, hair salon, medical room with onboard doctor. There is a lift serving all decks. Wi-Fi access is available in panorama lounge.
